College library housed in a portion of the physics Laboratory has more than 18500 books on various subjects available for use by staff and students. Work on the construction of a separate library block coming up at an estimated cost of Rs. 52.00 lacs has started and the building will be completed in near future. The new block will make it possible for the college to go for complete automation of the library. The library block is designed to provide space for making it a complete library.
The college has a proposal of computerizing the library and connecting it with network of libraries through INFLABNET. Presently the students are not in a position to use the library properly , however some methods for optimizing the benefits for the borrowers are being put in place. Reading Room facilities are also provided where newspapers, journals and magazines are made available for students. Students are expected to adhere to the rules and regulations of the library. A student can borrow 2 books for a period of 14 days; a penalty is charged for books retained beyond time. A book bank facility is open for students belonging to backward classes.
